[BUG] remote timer - hostname ignored #16

When modifying the timer settings the hostname is completely ignored and only the IP address is used. Also "finish fetching remote data" sounds like it is still loading data and I also got that message if my IP was 0.0.0.0 and therefore the connection failed.
