Discussion Forums: Zoom Integrations at the Program and Course Levels (v1.8.1 and 1.8.2)

Course authors can integrate Zoom via an easy and seamless point-and-click app at the program level and at the course level. Zoom integration is now available at the course level and if configured is available in the course navigation as the “Live” tab in the course navigation. Course teams can schedule and manage meetings and learners can see and attend those meetings from the Live area.

Abstract and Goal

This Milestone is part of Blended Development-38, a complete overhaul of the discussion experience for learners and moderators to support rich course, program and platform-level communities and collaboration.

Goal: Enable Zoom integration via LTI in a new tab called "Live" on the Learner landing page for Degree Programs and Master's Programs.

Metric of success:

Learners able to view the Live Tab as active areas in their Program Progress pages.
Learners able to click on the Live tab to connect to Zoom.

Value and Impact

Creates a pathway to build community and foster interaction outside of the course/program content. Examples of interactions are: webinars, lunch and learn sessions, job hunt conversations.
