Apologies for going incommunicado. Last semester was my final semester for my BS.
I saw the request on Twitter, and decided to pick up this one county.
Some notes:
OR of course does everything by mail, so there's only one votes field.
Party codes used were DEM (Democratic), REP (Republican), IND (Independendent), and NON (Nonpartisan)
For nonpartisan primaries, I didn't bother including the NON party code (in other words, NON is only used for registered voters / ballots cast)
Umatilla County does not break out specific write-ins by precinct, though they list how many total write-ins were cast in each precinct. For races in a single precinct, obviously all write-in votes for a given candidate must have come from that single precinct. For races spanning multiple precincts, I left out the precinct field for the candidate record (e.g. Umatilla,,State Representative,57,DEM,Greg Smith (W),38)
For write-in candidates, I appended "(W)" after the candidate's name.
I did not do my usual sanitizing of position names (e.g., Judge of the Circ. Crt, 6th Dist., Pos 5 -> Judge, Judicial District 6, Position 5, mostly because I do not know the canonical names for positions in Oregon).
I don't anticipate having time to actively seek out counties that need work over the next year (I'm pursuing my MS in one year), but I do strongly exhort you to approach me with counties that need work; I'm always willing to attempt to wrangle data into submission (especially since I have frameworks [rudimentary, uncommented, unmaintainable frameworks, but frameworks nonetheless] for the most widespread vote reporting formats).
