Matt 3:12 "winnowing fan" #115

In Matt 3:12 the word "winnowing fan" is old fashioned translation for the greek word ptuon. http://strongsnumbers.com/greek/4425.htm

Instead, perhaps "threshing fork"? or "threshing shovel"?

I must admit that 'winnowing fan' is about obscure to me as 'threshing fork'...

Maybe we need a short footnote?

I agree, I couldn't come up with much better. Maybe we choose something that at least uses modern words "threshing" and "shovel" or "fork" or "rake" and then add a footnote? Or i can see if i can think up or find a better term?

I agree a footnote is probably necessary.
