a translation-wide overuse of semi-colons.... #208

I'm just up to Matthew 6 so far, but looking back and forward not sure what is the best way to suggest this but, the TCNT used far more semi-colons than does most modern English writing. I'd consider an entire inventory on when those can be turned into simple periods.

You're right of course.

I did a quick count and there are 2139 semicolons in the NT.

That's a lot of semicolons and replacing them manually would be a big job. Maybe we can find some heuristics - repeating patterns which can be semi-automatically replaced?

Yeah: a good question: i'd bet you could use search tools to find the most "offending" examples but I'll bet you'd need a human to fix them.
