Integrations with IFRAMEs: Some attachment types won't play in Brightspace #126

"Found in release/6.4-QA2 - #8882 / 6.4.r1348

I just tried adding all sorts of attachments to Brightspace as quicklinks. Most of them played OK, except Googlebooks, Kaltura and Flickr. (But they work OK if I add them to Moodle.)

Issue Converted from original Equella JIRA

smclaughlin520 commented 7 years ago

Comments from Original JIRA Ticket Quite possibly it's a HTTP/HTTPS issue. Looks like Flickr now insists on HTTPS anyway (you enter HTTP and it redirects to HTTPS) Flickr is preventing the site being displayed in an iframe. The only thing we could do about that is to popup into a new window. Confirmed that it's the same issue with Googlebooks. The only solution would be to do the following: Change both of the viewers to render some Javascript that detects if it's in a frame or not. If it is, popup the real viewer URL in a new window, otherwise redirect to the real viewer URL. In any case, the issue is not new. It would affect all integrations that embed the Equella content in an iframe.
