I don't know Brevo, but is it clear (in the ToS) that users that sign up for OFF would be added to Brevo? Since it looks like a cloud service, do they need to be added as a sub-processor to the GDPR statement?

teolemon commented 1 year ago

At the moment, when they opt in to the newsletter, they do opt in. We don't indicate directly the sub-processor in the signup process, but in the ToS and legal pages.

@teolemon https://github.com/openfoodfacts/openfoodfacts-server/pull/8856 will make this issue obsolete.

MonalikaPatnaik commented 10 months ago

I think it's been resolved by #8856. Can we close this?

@alexgarel @MonalikaPatnaik This solves the use-case for pro users. Regular users may still be added manually every X months, but it would be good to automate the addition

alexgarel commented 9 months ago

No the title of #8856 is misleading @teolemon it subscribe users directly to brevo.

But we may have to do a last export between last export and deployment of @MonalikaPatnaik branch !

@alexgarel @galnaf and I are wondering again. I can't see any emails from recent signups, only the blog.
