@teolemon I would suggest a low-tech solution: opening a text edit field where the user could paste a list of barcodes. Then, perhaps, the solution you suggested.

possibly in two chunks, but this app is mostly about scanning barcodes and fetching information :-)

Perhaps pasting a prepared list of 100 barcodes will be faster than scanning them, especially if it's an action to be performed several times on several devices (e.g. lecture/class). A hybrid mode (text field + scan) makes sense.

I believe most use cases will be people willing to put a lot of products from real life in a list.

@teolemon Given the pain in the neck the scan can be, I would rather suggest:
