Which language version of the User Guide are you viewing? English

Description In the admin area on the 'edit product' page there is a field called 'permalink'. I cannot find a description what this does and if it is actually working.

Additional Context I am wondering if this 'permalink' is some kind of 'deep link' which could be used for direct linking to products.

Do not edit the Permalink field. This connects your product internally to an entry in the OFN database. Editing can corrupt the product entry.
