Here's the test (sans formatting) November 2014 Update (by ethan of Saueressen, supporting member):

Thanks to Roy's commitment and hard work, OFS nears the official launch and announcement of version 1.0 of the software!

This project has come a long way since its inception. Roy put together a nice history and timeline showing the progress of the project since it forked from the now-defunct Local Food Co-op software project.

For the sake of transparency, here's a quick update on some of the more exciting stuff happening behind the scenes: -Daily development work on OFS itself continues. -WP transition: We're transitioning the OFS website to a wordpress.org (WP) backend, including a WP template integration between OFS and WP. WP is a user-friendly and powerful open-source content management system (CMS), which makes it a good fit for OFS and local food hubs. As one of our core founding services, we will offer some support to OFS users who decide to use WP as their CMS. -We landed at GitHub to coordinate development work on OFS and the OFS Federation and related infrastructure between more people, in anticipation of the Federation launch. -As mentioned above, v1.0 of OFS is near completion (just needs some polish, documentation, etc). -We've started a process to <Github link to logo discussion -- ethan will update Github>design a new logo to better communicate the purpose of OFS to create transparency and trust in the software and other technologies driving the local food movement. -OFS is now on Facebook. Join us on our facebook page to stay in touch and up-to-date.

All the above are small examples of tasks in the lead-in to our next biggest milestone: Launching the OFS Federation with its founding members, products and services.
