http://jetpack.me/about/ This adds a LOT of basic functionality to wordpress sites, probably the most common plugin. We should probably install it

For example: simple contact forms and facebook/google+ integration

http://jupiterjimsmarketingteam.com/wordpress/why-i-dont-use-wordpress-jetpack/#comment-4109 apparently there is a "manual control for Jetpack" plugin that prevents the automatic activation of modules, which seems to be the main concern here

also OK with alternatives: http://wptavern.com/15-plugins-to-get-jetpack-functionality-without-using-jetpack but IMO the negativity on jetpack seems overblown, and I think we'll use several of the features (please feel free to disagree!)
