Updates for 1.0.6 release #68

@davidlmobley I've added a couple of updates to the README and version number in the conda file. Should we merge this before I make the new release?

@davidlmobley I know you're busy this week, but could you take a look at this? I think it makes sense to have these changes in before we do a 1.0.6 release
