When handling request for single player/session, don't assume they're first in list. #3

Technically, they ought to be the first. However, it's possible we get incorrect data somehow. It's also the case at the moment that we get back the "null" player/session data, even if there was no null-IDed data. That's something that should be fixed again soon, but we really should be robust to it.
