Catchment boundaries through waterbodies. Catchment boundaries will exist through lakes with more than one outlet, as noted above. A similar situation exists with glaciers with multiple tongues. Even a single glacier section may flow into different watersheds. (Consider the alluvial fans emanating from the Mount Robson Glacier. The fans exist on the continental divide, flowing southwest into Berg Lake in British Columbia and northeast into Adolphus Lake in Alberta on the other side of the divide.) Admittedly catchment boundaries through lakes and glaciers are comparatively uncommon, but the phenomenon can be found worldwide and may be worth mentioning.
