diffuse or diffused #263

Reviewing changes by @dazzasmith a number of uses of "diffuse" have been changed to "diffused".

My dictionary has "diffuse" as an adjective "spread out over a large area; not concentrated". I think diffuse is the right usage? Will merge the open PR with diffused but we should revisit this one.

Upon further investigation, I think that "diffuse" is actually correct, I changed it because we use "diffused" in the AHGF (probably incorrectly) and thus I'm so used to hearing it, that it sounds more correct to me.
