confused. Why test images are xml #43

Parameter 'layers' can not be empty.

I don't get the image when running a test. I only get this. sorry....first time user...

What are you exactly getting? Can you please post the whole output or attach a screenshot?

Okay...I think it is clear. I cannot test someone else's implementation, but only my own that I put the test dataset in. Correct? Is there a way other than trial and error to test functionality of, say, an ESRI supplied MapServer WMSServer?

Correct, you have to use the provided test data.

The wms13 test suite contains numerous data independent tests. Unfortunately, in the current release it is hard to identify those tests. We are already working on a new version which structures the test results better. If you deactivate all options in the gui when starting the tests, just data independent tests should be applied.
