Orchestrator (Kubernetes) over containers #93

While containers (Docker) provide a profitable OS-virtualization and isolation for Cloud environmnent, the current Testbed systems lack the presence of an orchestrator for scheduling, managing, monitoring applications in a cluster of container host.

The de factor standard is clearly identified as Kubernetes which is supported by all commercial cloud provider (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) and is also supported by OpenShift.

ADES in front of multiple VM instance should be investigated.

I support this proposal for Kubernetes. I am attending the Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF) conference at the moment. ESGF Compute Working Team is developing compute nodes using Kubernetes. Same goes for another notable project presented here, Pangeo.
