Volumetric analyses for multiple intersecting parcels
As a user of GeoSPARQL data, I want to be able to perform volumetric analyses and calculations for multiple intersecting parcels. In particular for parcels intersecting with tunnels or overpassing roads where understanding the spatial relationships and volumes of these structures is important for reporting and record keeping for State Government.
Actor: GeoSPARQL data user
Preconditions
The 3D Geometry for intersecting parcels is in a format that the actor can read
3D Geometries are modelled and stored in a dataset to be queried
Postconditions
The dataset allows the user to perform analyses on the 3D geometries.
For existing or new tunnels that intersects with existing land parcels, I would like to easily calculate the volume of how the tunnel’s footprint interacts with affected parcels/properties and for overpassing roads to analyse how the overpassing roads affects the land beneath.
Steps
Actor: Combine all relevant 3D geometries—parcels, tunnels, and overpassing roads into a GeoSPARQL dataset,
Actor: Use GeoSPARQL queries to perform volumetric analyses, calculating the intersection volumes of tunnels / overpassing roads with parcels.
Use Case 580
