Web API Guidelines #115

The OGC Web API Guidelines are addressed in OGC API Common Part 1. The API-Coverages SWG will adopt as part of our business process that any extensions to API-Common Part 1 developed by this SWG will be validated against the API Guidelines. That validation will consist of a check that none of the guidelines were violated by those extensions.

Approved NOTUC at the November 25 2020 SWG meeting.

@cmheazel took the action to develop an API Guidelines checklist for use by the SWGs.

Motion: The API Coverages SWG believes that with the above resolution we have addressed all concerns underlying the OAB motion. Therefore, standards submitted by this SWG should not be blocked pending maturation of the API Guidelines.
