Document type for guides? #27

Several SWGs are developing informative documents ("guides") in parallel to the standards. Currently there does not seem to be a registered document type for this type of OGC document. Should there be one? Or should these be "discussion papers", which seems to be the closest category?

+1 - the doc types needs a revamp - so have some broader/narrower concepts as well. For example a conceptual model vs an implementation ..

This is a topic for the DocTeam, so I am transferring the issue to the templates repository.

The new TC PnP, which is being developed, will have a document type for “user guide” and be more inclusive of supporting information for Standards.
