Did you try to long press on the layer name ? There you can adjust transparency and even access other cool functionalities !
Thank you very much for your response, @VxTedxV! Yes, I've tried this - but there you can only change the transparency of the layer symbols itself. This doesn't affect the transparency of the selection colour mentioned in my feature request.
QGIS has an option to customize the color and transparency of the selected features. Unfortunately, this option is ignored by QField. I'm also looking forward to an improvement in this regard! Fingers crossed
Prerequisites
If you have a project that collects point data (e.g. animal species found) within study areas (polygons), you define a relationship between the point data and the study areas. An aerial picture is used as the background.
Setting a point in the field
Out there in the field you open the project and want to add a point. Therefor you click on the study area you are in. Now the corresponding feature is marked transparently yellow in QField:
You click on the appropriate entry in the features list. Now the feature is marked transparently red. To add a point, you acivate the edit mode:
You click the plus button to add a point and try to find the accurate position on the aerial picture. But sometimes it's a bit difficult to see the details of the aerial image under the transparent red polygon, especially when the sun is shining:
Feature request
It would be very useful if there was a way to set the level of transparency of the selected features in QField.
