Fault handler issue #10

Hi,

Following the latest fix to get QGIS to recognise the correct path for plugins / QGIS_HOME, upon start up we are greeted with an error pop-up on M1. This is the same error that has been bugging the QGIS conda feedstock version for a while (see: https://github.com/conda-forge/qgis-feedstock/issues/301)

I have the same issue, Apple M2 Max, Ventura 13.6.2

Same error here with 3.34.2-Prizren. Mac M1 Max, Sonoma 14.2.1
