BTStack GPS: Disconnecting every 10 minutes #326

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Opening BTStack GPS 1.7.3 and connecting to external GPS module
2. Opening Navigation app
3. Running both apps (with BTStack GPS in the background) for up to 10 minutes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was using BTStack GPS on iOS 5. I updated my iOS to version 6.1.2 and then
BTStack GPS started to disconnect every 10 minutes or less. It initially
connects fine and also reconnects fine. The only problem is the regular
disconnecting.

It looks to be a backgrounding issue as when I return to the BTStack GPS app it
starts again as if I've only just launched it.

If you can fix this, I would be very grateful!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
BTStack GPS 1.7.3
iOS 6.1.2

What iOS device do you use?

While this does not happen on my devices, I've received enough reports from
users. I've been looking into various backgrounding options and hope to change
to one that works on all devices.

Hi.

Sorry for being a little ignorant, but how do I install the *.deb file on to my
iPad?

Thank you for your work!

If you have iFile installed, you can open the link in Safari and then "open in
iFile" and then "install".

Hi.

Sorry for the delay.

I notice that you've recently posted an official update on Cydia.

Should I still install the file linked in this thread or does the official
release supersede this?

Thank you.

I've got a confirm from one user that the newer version fixes his problem and
published this exact file on Cydia. So, you're free to pick, but the Cydia
update option will be easier :)
