I believe this is all coming from Annotator. Annotator has some support for internationalization but I haven't looked into it in a while. https://github.com/openannotation/annotator/blob/master/doc/internationalization.rst

@johnfelipe sorry, I'm afraid we haven't had time to look into this. It's still on our list of things to do, but we won't get to it for a few weeks with other priorities right now. Pull requests are always welcome, but this requires tweaks to how we load Annotator, some work with the TimeAgo plugin, as well as a fixing a few missing translations in Madison itself.
