Hi,
I took a close look and it looks worth adding. The byte-range indexing is valuable, else bandwidth and volume would be a big issue. I'm not sure if we should only use surface data or altitude as well.
I'm completely stuck with trying to build the windows version with the new libraries. I tried 32 and 64 bit and could not overcome problems. I will have to get back to speed and solve the windows building before pushing ahead on the server. Do you have a set of libraries that work for windows (32 or 64)?
Best regards, David

Hi,
Now ECMWF data are mostly open data. Cf:

But Xygrib doesn't understand all parameters it could.
Updating downloader would be great too. Data are in grib2 format and ECMWF servers understand byte-range.
