Analysis of gas usage cycles, they start/end whenever gas usage temporarely stops (or goes to lower modulation level). The average outside temperature during each cycle and the hourly gas consumption averaged over the same cycle are plotted in a scatter plot. Two lines should prevail, representing the day-night scheme of the thermostat. Outliers above the upper line occur at beginning of day regime. Outliers below lower line occur during beginning of night regime. Parameters that could be derived are: temperature settings and timings of day-night regime; Thermal loss; Heat half-life time (or equivalent thermal mass).
