[homekit] HomeKit Binding #14094

This is a feature request for a HomeKit binding, with openHAB acting as a HAP client, not a server. This would allow openHAB to (locally) control any device that advertises itself as HomeKit compliant. This has been discussed previously in another issue starting at https://github.com/openhab/openhab-addons/issues/12927#issuecomment-1160878478. AFAICT @kgoderis's code is at https://github.com/kgoderis/openhab-addons/tree/homekit-3.0.0, and could possibly be a starting point.

I believe https://github.com/openhab/openhab-addons/issues/12927#issuecomment-1161799940 was never answered. @kgoderis - considering your question was more than two years ago, is it still relevant to you getting this answered, i.e. would you still be willing to persue this?
