[milight] MIboxer WL5 does not work #14232

Hi dear Dev! When adding a Miboxer WL5 (WiFi LED Controller) The Binding shows "CONFIGURATION_PENDING SESSION_WAIT_FOR_BRIDGE" in Paper UI. I tried various IPs, since the Miboxer SMart App only shows the public IP, i also tried getting the local IP from my router and used that. I used the Devices MAC, as shown in all the examples, and i also tried setting the virtual id from the miboxer smart app. Sadly none worked. I searched the internet for days now wihtout any solution to the problem.

For my understanding, I would have to add the WL5 as a bridge and then add a RGB+CCT bulb thing with the WL5 set as its bridge.

Done.. I Searched everywhere

Expected Behavior

The WL5 connects after adding it in the papaerui.

Current Behavior

OpenHab configuration shows "CONFIGURATION_PENDING SESSION_WAIT_FOR_BRIDGE"

Possible Solution

I didn't find any.

Steps to Reproduce (for Bugs)

  1. Add a Ibox 2 thing in milights binding
  2. Enter the data from the miboxer app, but with the local IP

Context

Using the Miboxer WL5 in combination with OpenHab, since everything else i have runs with OpenHab.

Your Environment

I hope there will be further Support for the miboxer devices, since I can not solder an ESP into the thing.

Kind Regards!

This seems like an older issue. I really hope you did manage to fix this. If not, could you upgrade to openHAB 4.2.0 and put the binding into debug mode and share your configuration details?

A configuration example is provided here: https://www.openhab.org/addons/bindings/milight/#thing-configuration please pay attention that both host and bridgeid seem to be mandatory (bridgeid is the mac without semicolons)
