Apologies , i got busy then left town for a little while. This looks reasonable to me, I want to take a look also at the IOS app and see if we can integrate this into the central network tracker logic, once we have that flushed out and working, might be a good idea to let the Android devs know as well. Let me take a closer look this week when i return. Thanks!

Hi sorry about leaving this for so long. Since i was in the code for another PR, i was hoping to merge this is, but i needed to make some changes to it. I have another PR #452 with those changes, do you mind if i merge that one in instead?
