Share folder not working #38

Open dsanow92 opened 6 years ago

When installing the openHAB2 on my TS-251+ running software version 4.3.3.0396 Build 20171205, I am creating the share called openHAB2 and the “addons”, “conf” and “userdata” are all still ending up in the "/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/OpenHab/" folder.

I have tried both option 1 and 2 with no luck. Am I missing something? According to the installation link that is all I need to do and the data should automatically go in there. I don't have any users setup, just the admin in the NAS

Hi,

I can confirm the same behavior on my TS-253A with software version 4.3.3.0378 Build 20171117.

Is there a way to manually work around this problem by adding the shared folder to the openHab2 configuration somehow?

mabiste commented 6 years ago

See https://github.com/openhab/openhab-qnap-qpkg/issues/18, you have to call the shared folder 'openHAB' and not 'openHAB2'.

dsanow92 commented 6 years ago

I tried that and it still did not work. I just tried it again to confirm and still nothing. I have also tried creating openHAB and openHAB2 users to see if that helps but it didn't.

Hi! Try to delete openHAB in app center, then login by ssh and check if for sure folder in "/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/OpenHab/" was deleted. If not delete it manually. Then try to reinstall openHAB with "openHAB" folder according to installation guide.

In my case if I was trying to delete openHAB by app center the temporary folder stays in "~/.qpkg/openHAB" and by the other installation Was seeing this folder so the files was putted in there, not in my openHAB folder.

dsanow92 commented 6 years ago

I confirmed openHab is also being deleted from that /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/OpenHab/ folder when I do an uninstall from App Center. I did a delete in PUTTY to make sure as well. I also made sure my share folder allowed guest R/W access. Still no luck. :(

@dsanow92 please also check the correct spelling and capital / small letters. PS: I'm currently creating a 2.2.0 version. Hopefully I can upload it by tomorrow

@dsanow92 I had the same issue and resolved by assuring the share folder was "openHAB" and enabling guest R/W access.

Not sure if it had any affect but due to what I read in #18 I also changed the name of my QPKG file from "openHAB_2.2.qpkg" to just "openHAB.qpkg"

Mind marking this resolved if the same worked for you back in Jan?

I'm facing the same above problem, being unable to install openHAB_2.4.0_x86_64.qpkg in the openHAB share and/or the public/openHAB folder...

I'm working on a TS-451A with QTS 4.3.6.0805 build 20181228.

I'm completely stuck...

The package ALWAYS installs itself in "/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/OpenHab" What also seems strange to me is the fact it creates a folder called "OpenHab" (<<< notice the upper/lower case combination...), no matter the name of the package file itself...

Any suggestions ?

I have the same problem.

I have a Qnap TS-231 and i want to install openhab 2.4. Openhab 2.2 works fine because the files installs in the correct folder /share/openhab/

When I install openhab 2.4 then de files are placed in new folder share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/OpenHab

With version 2.4 I can't open Openhab. The site is not available "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED".

Who can help to solve the problem?

I have the same problem. ... Who can help to solve the problem?

OpenHab is there, perfectly working... just on another folder and another port...

I solved the above creating a share to the different folder... and pointing to the right page (actually, port), which I believe is #58288.

Thanks for your reply.

I don't have much experience. I am a beginner. Can you tell me step by step to share a different folder ans pointing to the right page?

Thank you in forward

Sorry for the delay... I think you might have solved right now, but... just in case... I think you should recall OpenHab menu starting from the APP icon in QNAP... this will open the right page, depending on which version you have installed and which port that version is using... Opening old bookmarked pages will lead to my same error... ;-)
