WallC-S not recognized #2122

Closed Eggn1n3 closed 9 years ago

Eggn1n3 commented 9 years ago

Hi, I am trying to add a wall controller (Zwave.me WALLC-S) to OpenHAB, but it seems it is not recognized by the ZWave binding (unsupported command classes). HABmin shows unknown manufacturer etc. I am using snapshot 1.7.0 which lists WALLC-S as supported.

Is there something I am missing? Controller is included, but then nothing happens... I am using ZME_UZB1 Zave plus (ZWave.Me) USB controller. I also use another Zwave device (Philio binary power switch which works fine).

Here is a bit of the log.

Thanks, Rene

I would suggest using the latest test release on the HABmin site. If it doesn't work, then a logfile will be useful. Note that the "command class not supported" warnings are not an issue.

Hi,

Just to let you know, the wallc-s is working perfectly for me with the binding from the habmin site... Chris had implemented the changes for the wallc-s a couple of weeks back and it has been working fine for me ever since.

Thanks Chris, Matt. Looking at the status of WALLS-C I noticed that it is stuck in protoinfo. I have seen comments about this before (I believe Matt you mentioned this?) version-habmin I start to think that I am using an old version of habmin? Where can I get the new version? Thanks! Rene

Looking at the log, you’re using an old version of the binding - not HABmin. From the HABmin github main page, download the latest biding from the addons folder.

Thanks Chris, I can now see all the configuration items in Habmin. It seems that the new zwave binding did the trick. It's hard to find the latest release when the all are called snapshot 1.7.0 ;-)

It's hard to find the latest release when the all are called snapshot 1.7.0 ;-) Yes - I agree it’s not the best, but that’s how the system is set up… That’s why I recently added a version into the log file, so at least I can see what version people are running when I get logs...

Got it, thanks again!
