This PR adds a Travis configuration similar to that used in the other openHAB repositories (see https://github.com/openhab/openhab-core/pull/643).
It looks like Travis isn't enabled yet for this repository. With this PR contributors can still easily enable Travis on their own fork. That way they can see if their branches build properly before creating a PR in this repository.
