Where can one find a list of all operating system versions? I imagine the list would be:
Wikipedia has a graph of distros by market share. According to this, OS X is the only Mac distribution with any real share. For Windows, we're looking at 7, 8, XP and Vista.
Perhaps this is an unfair assumption, but I see Ubuntu as the "gateway" Linux distro and imagine that any students who use Fedora or Debian will be pretty familiar with FLOSS already. They'll probably already be familiar with IRC clients, and the git experience should be the same across Linux distributions. Basically, I'm not worried about them (though I'm open to arguments that I should be).
