Conventionally respiratory rate is written RR and BPM if used is reserved for heart rate.[1]
It would also be unusual for the frequency of observations, including the recording and charting of RR, to occur only daily.
NICE recommend a minimum frequency of 12 hourly and 4-6 hourly is much more common.[2]
