The section of code in autorun.sh of finding the USB ports does not consistently find the Nexys A7 port.

Can you provide some additional information? Specifically:

Which autorun.sh are you using (./autotest/autorun.sh or ./autotest/RunOnEmulOrSimul/autorun.sh)?
How are you running it (directly or via a Make target?
What is you exact command-line?
What is the output of the command that illustrates the failure?
What platform are you running on?
