Question: power outage #102

Hello,

I'm inquiring as to how I can use openip firmware at a remote server room during power outage. My plan is to use a v2 wyze cam and a second pan tilt wyze cam in this remote server room. If I understand correctly, to use the openip firmware on a Wyze cam I press and hold the reset button when plugging in the power cord. I will be always be leaving in the openip SD card in each Wyze cam at this remote location. If this remote location was to lose power, what happens to the wyze cam's when power is restored, will they both boot using the openip firmware? I won't be able to have the reset button held down during power restored at this remote location so I'd like to better understand how power outages affect openip on all versions of wyze cams.

Thank you.

Hello greavette,

I was just testing this out and it appears that the v2 wyze will boot back up with the openipc-firmware. I don't have a pan tilt wyze cam, but would presume it behaves the same.

@8chris8 mine does reboot but half the functionality of openipc does re-start :/
