Unable to load image Wyze V2 (UPDATE: Error caused by jxf23 sensor on newer V2 cameras) #117

It appears everything was flashed correctly, I get the webserver allows my to login, but I can't do anything with the camera. Any settings I change immediately revert to default, and I do not get a feed from the camera it just says "Unable to load image". I'm using a 16gb SD card formatted to FAT32.

I've also tried flashing the stock firmware back on, but nothing I try works. I tried putting the demo.bin in the root and in /Main. This camera is effectively bricked if I can't get a feed or change the firmware back to stock. Any suggestions?

Same issue however I was able to flash back to stock firmware and verified it is working through the wyze app

The problem is with the recent change in sensor. The current openipc firmware is not compatible. Using this firmware worked for me https://github.com/EliasKotlyar/Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks/blob/master/hacks/install_cfw.md

Still have not been able to flash the stock firmware since installing anything else. It could be related to the same sensor issue, but I have it working now with the above firmware, so I'm not going to mess with it further.

I too am having the same Issue. That solution did not work for me. I still have the same exact symptoms you did to begin with. got any other Ideas?

I'm having the same issue with a v2 . The camera feed doesn't show on the web page , only "unable to load image" I tried this firmware https://github.com/EliasKotlyar/Xiaomi-Dafang-Hacks/blob/master/hacks/install_cfw.md but it still didnt help. This is disappointing, help please!!

I'm experiencing this as well, the linked CFW doesn't seem to have made any difference once I got it to actually flash properly by making sure the System Volume Information directory was deleted.

For reference, my Wyze is one of the black ones that were made for Black Friday 2018.

Are there still no ways to run OpenIPC or an alternative?

you need to perform downgrade first

You saved me a lot of frustration. Been fighting this issue since late last year. Thought camera was faulty. Sent back and got a new one, apparently with old chip as it worked. Ordered new ones this week, same issue and finally found this post. Everything is working with this firmware now.

I got my V2s working with the dafang hacks also. I'm good to go.

what does it mean for the blue light to flicker on before going right back to orange? its doing this when I try to flash the binary

also when i take out my sd card after flashing the binary there is the binary and then time lapse folder. Is the absence of the other recording folders a sign of error?

I was able to get my camera to stream an RTSP feed using this
