@fjprichard – thanks for your submission to JOSS. We're currently managing a large backlog of submissions and the editor most appropriate for your area is already rather busy.
For now, we will need to waitlist this paper and process it as the queue reduces. Thanks for your patience!
If you want to fix the DOIs (noting that Whedon's suggestions are not always right), you can, then use the following commands (one at a time, as the first line of a new comment) to regenerate the PDF and check the references.
@whedon generate pdf @whedon check references
@pibion - would you be willing to edit this submission?
@whedon invite @pibion as editor
@pibion has been invited to edit this submission.
@whedon assign me as editor
OK, the editor is @pibion
@arfon happy to take this one.
@fjprichard I'll be your editor for this submission, nice to meet you!
Just as a heads up, my experience has been that people are pretty tired right now and so it sometimes takes a while to find reviewers. We have learned a lot of good methods through the course of the pandemic, though, so I'm optimistic we'll manage this in a reasonable time!
Do you have any reviewers to recommend for this submission?
:wave: @bakerjw, @dubourg, @SebastianHoerning, @jackpiercebrown, & @song2001, would any of you be willing to review this submission for JOSS? We carry out our checklist-driven reviews here in GitHub issues and follow these guidelines: https://joss.readthedocs.io/en/latest/review_criteria.html
👋 @sealhuang, @Kevin-Mattheus-Moerman, @vitorsr, @stsievert, would any of you be willing to review this submission for JOSS? We carry out our checklist-driven reviews here in GitHub issues and follow these guidelines: https://joss.readthedocs.io/en/latest/review_criteria.html.
@pibion sorry I must decline. Too much on my plate and this paper also sounds outside my domain.
@Kevin-Mattheus-Moerman thanks for letting me know!
@pibion I'll have to decline too. My apologies – I don't have enough bandwidth.
@stsievert no problem, thank you for the response!
Sorry, I have to decline too. I'm swamped with proposal writing at the moment.

@fjprichard – looks like it's proving a little challenging to find reviewers here. Could you take a look a this list of potential reviewers and identify a few people who would be good candidates to review this submission?
👋 @arfon - Can you provide an update on this submission and review?
👋 @arfon - Can you provide an update on this submission and review?
This isn't my paper, I was just trying to help out @pibion with finding some reviewers.
Sorry, my mistake.
@pibion - how do we move this forward?
@fjprichard - did you have any suggestions, as requested a couple of months ago in https://github.com/openjournals/joss-reviews/issues/3310#issuecomment-894784670?
ahwillia, cdcrabtree, robohyun66, stsievert, kczimm, bahung, mskwark, vitorsr, abhishektha, tuchandra
Thanks @fjprichard !

Please forgive my delay in responding for the past three months.
I am more than happy to review professor Richard's submission.
@vitorsr wonderful, thank you! We need one more reviewer and then we'll get started with the review.
@whedon add @vitorsr as reviewer
OK, @vitorsr is now a reviewer
@whedon add @janmandel as reviewer
OK, @janmandel is now a reviewer
@fjprichard we have two reviewers and are ready to enter the review phase!
@whedon start review
OK, I've started the review over in https://github.com/openjournals/joss-reviews/issues/3821.
