Hi @geoyee and thanks for your submission! I am pinging the editorial board to check if it is in scope for JOSS. One thing I am concerned about is the lack of packaging, and another is about whether it is research software by our definition. It would help for the latter question if you could explain why you think it is.
Your paper is also missing a section entitled "Statement of need".

Hi @geoyee — unfortunately the editorial board has decided that this submission is not in scope. However, I'll provide some feedback and you are welcome to resubmit at a future date, if you change the submission according to the feedback. And note that people do think it is research software and so acceptable by that measure.
