editorialbot commented 1 year ago

Submission flagged for editorial review.

Kevin-Mattheus-Moerman commented 1 year ago

@jhayer I am the AEiC for this track and here to process initial steps. I have just flagged this submission for a scope review by our editorial board. This is normal for submissions of this size. The scope review should be completed within about 2 weeks and will determined if this submission conforms to our substantial scholarly effort criteria.

Kevin-Mattheus-Moerman commented 1 year ago

@jhayer I am pleased to report this work has passed our initial scope check. We will now proceed to recruit a handling editor. Note that during review the scope may be queried again.

@jhayer - I'll be editing your submission. Can you suggest individuals who might serve as reviewers? We'll need to recruit two reviewers. They don't need to be individuals who have reviewed for JOSS in the past. Thank you!

fboehm commented 1 year ago

@jhayer - you can look at the link above to help in choosing reviewers. I'm also happy to invite individuals who are not on that list. Ideally, reviewers would have expertise in your area of research.

jhayer commented 1 year ago

@fboehm - I can suggest the following reviewers from the JOSS list:

Please let me know if you need additional suggestions.

fboehm commented 1 year ago

Thank you, @jhayer ! I'll reach out to the suggested reviewers now.
