Hi @kyleniemeyer @IceKhan13 - happy to edit this submission. Though please note I am at a conference for the next week; I will resume editing duties w/c 10th July. In the meantime @IceKhan13 please suggest potential reviewers (more details on this are also above, in the first post).

IceKhan13 commented 1 year ago

Hello @lucydot!

We would like to suggest in no particular order pkairys, WhiteSymmetry, TejasAvinashShetty, hanrui-wang.

Thank you!

lucydot commented 1 year ago

Hi @IceKhan13,

Thanks for the suggestions.

@hanrui-wang, @TejasAvinashShetty, @WhiteSymmetry - are you available to review this submission for JOSS? I believe a couple of you are new reviewers to JOSS, so welcome! Our process is a little different to more traditional journals, being Github-based and completely transparent. If you have any questions about the process, please ask!

lucydot commented 1 year ago

I'll add that there are reviewer docs here: https://joss.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reviewer_guidelines.html

Hi @IceKhan13,

I am going on Annual Leave until the 8th of August. I will ping a couple more possible reviewers now, so hopefully we can get a review going in the next couple of days.

Hi @lucydot, I should be able to take out some time to leave a review for this submission.

IceKhan13 commented 1 year ago

Thank you all so much! πŸ™

DevenPanchal commented 1 year ago

@lucydot, @IceKhan13 Do you want me to generate and submit the review checklist here in this issue itself?

lucydot commented 1 year ago

That's great @obliviateandsurrender and @DevenPanchal 🎈

@DevenPanchal - not here (this is the _pre-_review), I will add you as reviewers and ask our editorial-bot to generate a review-thread. There will be reviewer instructions at the top of that thread.

The review process at JOSS is a little different in that it is more an on-going conversation between the authors, reviewers, editorialbot and editor. We encourage you to raise and discuss points as they arise rather than listing everything at the end in a single post. Apologies I will not be more hands on for the start of your review (I am on leave until the 8th of August). If questions do arise it may be that you want to hold back on progressing/completing the review until my return. You should be able to get started I think without too many hurdles: also there are reviewer guidelines are here: https://joss.readthedocs.io/en/latest/reviewer_guidelines.html

Top menus are side by side in Python 3.11. Values are only visible when scanned. I also removed the package limitations (== --> >=) and it works fine. p2
