⚠️ Note to editors: If these papers look like they might be a good match, click through to the review issue for that paper and invite one or more of the authors before considering asking the reviewers of these papers to review again for JOSS.
Hi @michaeldumelle and thanks for your submission. I will add this to our waitlist as we wait for an appropriate editor to have capacity to take it on. Thanks for your patience.
Thank you so much @kthyng ! If there is anything you need from me in the interim, please let me know.
@kthyng I filtered JOSS reviewers by "R" and "Earth Sciences and Ecology"
One reviewer that I noticed was Kathryn Doering for their "Topic Area" of fisheries ecology. These spatial stream network models have natural applications to fisheries.
Can I edit this message if other reviewers come to mind?
Thank you!
@michaeldumelle for sure, edit or post away! Still waiting for editors...
@kthyng No problem and thanks for the update!
@editorialbot assign me as editor
Assigned! @mikemahoney218 is now the editor
I'll take this submission on! :smile:
@michaeldumelle , would you be able to suggest 5 reviewers for this package? Reviewers can come from either our reviewer database or your own network, so long as they don't have a conflict of interest. When you suggest them, please do not ping them using @
-- we'll only do that when we're actually inviting them :smile:
After that, I should be able to start pinging people for reviews!
@mikemahoney218 thank you so much! Here are a few reviewers that have expertise in ecology/statistics/spatial statistics. The first few have expertise in fisheries/aquatic ecology/aquatic monitoring, which is particularly relevant to this submission:
Two JOSS reviewers for which I declare a conflict of interest:
Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me at this time!
Appreciate the long list, and appreciate mentioning your COI with Jeff -- I'll admit he was my first thought when I saw this package :laughing:
I'll reach out to reviewers today and will follow up as I hear back!
Thank you @mikemahoney218 !
@editorialbot assign @fernandomayer as reviewer
I'm sorry human, I don't understand that. You can see what commands I support by typing:
@editorialbot commands
@editorialbot add @fernandomayer as reviewer
(darn those synonyms...)
@fernandomayer added to the reviewers list!
@editorialbot add @k-doering-NOAA as reviewer
@k-doering-NOAA added to the reviewers list!
@editorialbot start review
OK, I've started the review over in https://github.com/openjournals/joss-reviews/issues/6389.
