Hi @michaeldumelle and thanks for your submission. I will add this to our waitlist as we wait for an appropriate editor to have capacity to take it on. Thanks for your patience.

michaeldumelle commented 5 months ago

Thank you so much @kthyng ! If there is anything you need from me in the interim, please let me know.

michaeldumelle commented 5 months ago

@kthyng I filtered JOSS reviewers by "R" and "Earth Sciences and Ecology"

One reviewer that I noticed was Kathryn Doering for their "Topic Area" of fisheries ecology. These spatial stream network models have natural applications to fisheries.

Can I edit this message if other reviewers come to mind?

Thank you!

kthyng commented 4 months ago

@michaeldumelle for sure, edit or post away! Still waiting for editors...

michaeldumelle commented 4 months ago

@kthyng No problem and thanks for the update!

editorialbot commented 4 months ago

Assigned! @mikemahoney218 is now the editor

mikemahoney218 commented 4 months ago

I'll take this submission on!

@michaeldumelle , would you be able to suggest 5 reviewers for this package? Reviewers can come from either our reviewer database or your own network, so long as they don't have a conflict of interest. When you suggest them, please do not ping them using @ -- we'll only do that when we're actually inviting them

After that, I should be able to start pinging people for reviews!

michaeldumelle commented 4 months ago

@mikemahoney218 thank you so much! Here are a few reviewers that have expertise in ecology/statistics/spatial statistics. The first few have expertise in fisheries/aquatic ecology/aquatic monitoring, which is particularly relevant to this submission:

Two JOSS reviewers for which I declare a conflict of interest:

Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me at this time!

mikemahoney218 commented 4 months ago

Appreciate the long list, and appreciate mentioning your COI with Jeff -- I'll admit he was my first thought when I saw this package

I'll reach out to reviewers today and will follow up as I hear back!

Thank you @mikemahoney218 !
