@aadya940 - thanks for your submission to JOSS. We're currently managing a large backlog of submissions and the editor most appropriate for your area is already rather busy.

For now, we will need to waitlist this paper and process it as the queue reduces. Thanks for your patience!

crvernon commented 4 months ago

@aadya940 - in the meantime, could you work on fixing the author affiliation issue here:

⚠️ An error happened when generating the pdf. Author (Aadya A. Chinubhai) is missing affiliation.

You will also need to reduce the length of your paper to the JOSS requirement of being between 250-1000 words (see https://joss.readthedocs.io/en/latest/submitting.html#what-should-my-paper-contain).

Thank you!

Hi @aadya940! I'll be editing your paper!

Have you addressed the issues mentioned by Chris? If so, if we do @editorialbot generate pdf we can see the new version of the pdf.

Do you have any reviewer suggestions, before I contact anyone?

aadya940 commented 4 months ago

Hello @mooniean , Thanks for taking up the time to do the review. The pdf compiles fine now locally. However, I haven't reduced the length of the paper yet. Would it be fine if I take some time to do this? I'll try to do it ASAP.

aadya940 commented 4 months ago

Hello @mooniean , I've updated the paper. Its 920 words excluding bibliography. Looks like we can move ahead. Thank You very much!!
