Hi @Schneewittchen7001 and thanks for your submission! I am looking for some specific items to make sure your submission fits our requirements at a high level (not at the more detailed review level) before moving on to finding an editor or putting this on our waitlist if no relevant editors are available. I'll comment over time as I have a chance to go through them:
In the meantime, please take a look at the comments above β¬οΈ from the editorialbot to address any DOI, license, or paper issues if you're able (there may not be any), or suggest reviewers. For reviewers, please suggest 5 reviewers from the database listed above or your own (non-conflicted) extended network. Their github handles are most useful to receive but please don't use "@" to reference them since it will prematurely ping them.
Hello,
thanks for all the information. I would suggest the following reviewers: phil-sandwell arbennett koldunovn ciara-donegan FlorianK13

π΄ Failed to discover a valid open source license
I licensed my work with the gnu general public license, version 3. I am not sure why it is not recognized, if it something I did wrong, I would be happy to fix it.
@Schneewittchen7001 Sorry for my delay. I think the license canβt be automatically detected because it isnβt called LICENSE. The name LICENSE is preferable because it conventionally applies to the whole project unless specified otherwise, versus a license file in the repo (which could be one of several and might apply to only one file or to many). This project appears to use a copyright notice in every source file so it's not ambiguous, though it is an extra step. Note that dual-licensed projects will often have multiple files, e.g., LICENSE-MIT and LICENSE-Apache , so even by best practices, there may not be a file named LICENSE. So, it could be simpler to go with a single LICENSE file to apply to the whole project, unless that isn't your intention.

@kthyng Thank you for your work. I have changed the license file name, shortened the paper (to 1006 words, I hope, that is ok) and added more information on our affiliations.
Thank you @Schneewittchen7001! We have a backlog of submissions so I will add this to our waitlist. Thanks for your patience.

Hi @AdamRJensen, I would be happy to review!
Sorry, as @kthyng already knows, I tend to be a bit very slow with my reviews, and this isn't exactly my area of expertise. If I may suggest, I think @hcbloomfield19 would be an ideal candidate.
@editorialbot add @ciara-donegan as reviewer
Wonderful π₯³
@ciara-donegan added to the reviewers list!
π @hcbloomfield19 any interest in reviewing this JOSS submission?
@Schneewittchen7001 could you suggest some additional reviewers (please list their GH usernames but without the @ symbol).
@hcbloomfield19 we'd still very much appreciate it if you have time to review this JOSS submission? π
@Schneewittchen7001 could you please suggest some additional reviewers (preferably but commenting with their GH user names in this thread, but without the @ symbol to avoid tagging them just yet).
