Should OpenJS support continuation of the W3C Internationalization IG and WG? #301

Internationalization Working Group and Interest Group

Vote Deadline: : September 24, 2024 (23:59 Boston Time)

The mission of the Internationalization Working Group is to enable universal access to the World Wide Web by proposing and coordinating the adoption by the W3C of techniques, conventions, technologies, and designs that enable and enhance the use of W3C technology and the Web worldwide, with and between various different languages, scripts, regions, and cultures. The mission of the Internationalization Interest Group is to support a community that discusses issues and gathers requirements related to the internationalization of the Web. There are no changes to each group's scope. The proposed charters align with the latest charter template changes. Link to Charter(s):

Internationalization is a core value of W3C and one of their real success stories over its 30 year history. There is no opposition or controversy. I recommend we ask our representatives to vote "supports this Charter as is" on both the IG and WG.
