Proposal

Topic of the session

How to utilize maplibe hooks (mainly web) to manipulate the data and yet experience

Type of the session

I can probably do a hands on session of some sort around the talk, I don't have a clear view of the possibilities here. Let me know what can be done.

Estimated duration of the session

Haven't prepared the presentation, but probably around half an hour.

Date and Time of the session

I don't like to start first thing in the morning, so preferably 11 and onwards.

How maplibre works, style spec, workers, vector tiles, raster tiles, sources, layers

Describe the session

See above, a session about the extension points of maplibre, what can be done when, plugins, events etc.

Session facilitator(s), Github handle(s) and timezone(s)

Harel Mazor @HarelM - I thought about flying over to be there physically, but if not, then Israel standard time.

Meeting notes and Virtual Meeting Link

N/A.

Follow-up / Set-up sessions (if any)

None? Maybe the season Yuri have last year, but it's not mandatory.

Additional context (optional)

I can't think of anything.

Hey Harel! Thank you for your session submission - sounds like an interesting topic! I'll make note of your preference for an 11am+ slot.

Just to confirm, you're planning to attend in person, right? Unfortunately, we won't be able to support remote sessions this year. Looking forward to seeing you at the summit!

HarelM commented 6 days ago

Assuming this session is accepted, yes, I plan to attend in person. Please let me know if it is accepted so I can plan my travel. Thanks!

We understand! We're looking through submissions and will try to come to a decision quickly.

I was wondering if there is a way to use those hooks with a deck.gl integration just so that there could be some example that ties things together with vis.gl?
