I started a couple ridiculously simple tests in the beginning of the project, but I have not kept up with testing at all. As soon as there are enough features to justify using the project in a pilot phase, testing will become the priority before implementing any non-critical functionality.
Writing tests may motivate some code cleanup, which seems quite appropriate at this point.
