Reached out to Neale from Sine Nomine to review this before we merge it.

Should we merge this? Data updating in the main repo won't work since submodule is still indexing till Debian list, unless we pull manually

I let Neale know we're moving forward with this. It's easy enough to back out changes if he spots any problems or has concerns.
