• “Intro” meeting on Jan 25, 2023
  • CD Foundation attendees + people from Google, Netflix, Splunk, MongoDB
  • Mainframe represented by SUSE and Broadcom
• CDF goal is to: “normalize” terminology, focus on abstraction of tech/tools, identify and document best practices
• Threat/Oppty - Explosive growth of unique platform types (e.g. IOT edge-of-network)
• Open Mainframe Project strategy (Zowe) was well received
• Next Steps
  • Develop a Whitepaper - working session to scope agenda t/b scheduled for early February
  • Provide access to MF sandbox environment - lower the barrier to entry
• Call-to-action - need balanced participation from mainframe ecosystem in the SIG discussions
