As a Advanced User

I want to use SUMO to evaluate my fleet scheduling

In order to

• calculate the performance of my transportation system
• compare it to other algorithms
• have a benchmark
• be able to do regression testing

Acceptance criteria

• a defined interface for giving a demand (trips with time windows for departure and arrival)
• a defined API for scheduling the vehicles and persons
• a defined output format delivering waiting times and travel times for passengers as well as occupancy of vehicles over time
• an example implementation with a very basic scheduling algorithm

Maybe quite an effort but may help very much to move beyond the car

Upcoming Version 1.9. supports most of this with the help of the taxi device (except time windows).
